Phil Frasier is Featured in On Wisconsin Outdoors Magazine

Phil Frasier, owner of local plumbing company Frasier’s Plumbing and Heating, Inc., has been featured in this month’s On Wisconsin Outdoors Magazine. As a fourth-generation plumber and native of Northern Wisconsin, Frasier has always possessed a deeply-rooted love of fishing in the numerous lakes around his home, and this affinity was portrayed beautifully in a biographical piece.

The article details how both plumbing and fishing have played an important role in Frasier’s life, including from his time as a very young boy. In the piece, Frasier discusses his memories of working alongside his father, uncle, and grandfather at their plumbing shop near his boyhood home in the Northwoods. When the day would finish, the family could be found at a local lake enjoying some fishing as a way to relax.

That extensive experience led to one of Phil’s first professional experiences in fishing tourism when a local resort asked him to begin guiding some of their clients on the Chippewa Flowage. This initial foray into guiding tours led him to work with The Way Outfitters, who offer guided outdoor adventures for disabled veterans and terminally ill patients. Years later he was approached by a friend, Geoff Moore, to help launch the fishing division of an existing faith based adventure company called Fellowship Adventures.

In addition to discussing how fishing has impacted his life, it also takes a look at how it has influenced the lives of some of Frasier’s employees and workers. Several of the technicians at Frasier’s Plumbing and Heating, Inc. had roots in the area and were drawn back to it by the unparalleled natural beauty it had to offer. This includes Ian McCarthy (Phil’s nephew), after relocating to the area from Atlanta, Georgia, as well as two of Frasier’s kids — who became the first fifth-generation Frasiers in the company’s 103-year history.

Frasier’s Plumbing and Heating, Inc. is seeking more people who want to live that same sort of life for themselves, and the company is always looking to hire technicians. The article concluded with a quote from Frasier directly, stating “If you’re looking to live a Northwoods life, come on up. I’ll take you out fishing and we’ll talk.” Applicants are encouraged to view open positions on the company’s website.
