Customer Care
Joined Frasier’s in November 2019.
Years in field of experience: 25+ -- All of my experiences – volunteer and work – have required some form of customer service.
Hometown: I was born and raised in the city of Chicago, Illinois. My husband and I always enjoyed vacations in Wisconsin and moved to Appleton to raise our family. Work took us out of state for a few years, but our desire was to return to Wisconsin.
Moved to the Northwoods: September 2019
School: Lane Technical High School in Chicago, Illinois. MANY years later, I attended Fox Valley Technical College in Appleton to become an Educational Interpreter for the Deaf/Hard of Hearing.
What I enjoy most about my job: I enjoying interacting with and serving our customers and also being part of a company that cares about their customers and employees.
Something that is tough, but rewarding about my job: The plumbing and HVAC business is new to me. That means a bit of a learning curve to learn terminology and the right questions to ask customers when they call for service. It is rewarding when I can assure them that we can help and after the job is complete, they let us know that their technician did a great job!
Favorite thing about working in downtown Rhinelander: I enjoy walking downtown during my lunch hour, often visiting the local shops.
Favorite Northwoods community and why: It’s very difficult to select one Northwoods community as my favorite. Years ago we vacationed in the Hayward area which was my favorite at that time. Now that I live on the other side of the state, I’m learning about all the beautiful communities here. I enjoy being in the solitude of nature and have found that each community is unique.
Top 3 activities in the Northwoods: Sitting quietly and watching the creatures who visit our yard (even watched a slug make its way across the deck!); hiking with my husband; keeping my husband company in the boat when he fishes
Hobbies: needlework (especially crocheting), spending time in nature, reading a good book (something I don’t get to do very often)
Favorite sports team: Chicago Blackhawks
What brings me the most joy in my life: Harmony in family life, time spent with my family, and time when I am able to observe creation (I just marvel at how amazing it is).
Personal hero and why: Everyone who has touched my life has impacted or influenced me in some way. The greatest example set before me is Jesus Christ. My desire is to be a reflection of Him to all I encounter (sadly I fail quite often). My earthly hero is my Great Aunt Marge who started her teaching career in a one room schoolhouse. She gave me a love for learning and was always a great encouragement to me.
Favorite snack: Coffee, dark chocolate, any sweets really!
