About Frasier's

Frasier'sFrasier's began doing business in 1918…even though our roots go back much further than that.  In 1908, George Frasier – great-grandfather of current company director, Phil Frasier – first practiced his plumbing trade in New York City, and later moved to such cities as San Francisco and Denver, and Dayton, Ohio.

While working out of Portage he was sent to Post Lake on a plumbing assignment, loved the hunting and fishing, and decided to establish roots of his own.  In about 1908, he moved to Antigo and began working for Hoffman Plumbing Co.  A year later, George moved to Rhinelander and went to work for Oneida Plumbing & Heating Co (then owned by George Meekma).

George Frasier started his own business in 1912, working out of his basement on West Davenport Street.  Six years later, in 1918, George named his company West Side Plumbing.  In 1931, and after completing course work in Sanitary Engineering and Pipe Fitting, George’s son William “Bill” Frasier took over the reins of the company from his father.

Following another 15 years of growth, change, and with World War II erupting in between, Bill Frasier purchased a downtown location at 17 North Stevens Street and renamed the company to Frasier’s Plumbing & Heating. Bill orchestrated one more change of location to 310 North Brown Street, where our company remains headquartered today.

Closer to the Present

Phil and JoannaWhen Bill’s son, Bruce joined the family business in 1958, we entered our third generation of continuous family ownership and operation.  Bruce had previously served for four years in the U.S.A. military.

Later on, two more of Bill’s offspring came on board: David, in 1969, and Larry, after graduating from the University of Wisconsin.

Meet the Fourth and Current Generation of Frasier Company Management

As you can well imagine, Phil Frasier literally grew up in and all around the family business, currently owned by he and his wife, Joanna. The couple have five children, some of whom already are getting their feet wet in family business operations.

Phil and Joanna, as thousands of Wisconsin Northwoods families can readily attest, are committed to improving and maintaining indoor comfort for every customer they proudly serve. But their commitment goes much further…all the way to a third-world country where they have donated their services for a cooling and ventilation project.  Their philanthropic efforts have also extended to Alaska and right here in the Northwoods regions.

Recently, the company added electrical services to the plumbing, heating and air conditioning services it has already long provided.

Phil and Joanna continue to recruit and train the very best people at all levels of our organization:  customer service and dispatch, repair and installation services, sales and management, and much more.

The Next Chapter?

Frasier’s isn’t going anywhere…except forward.  So no matter what the future might hold, you can count on our very best, and a never-ending process to improve in any and every way we can.  After all, that’s the kind of service that brought your ancestors to our door in the first place.  And it’s the kind we know you continue to expect and deserve.

We hope to hear from you soon!

Regards,

Phil Frasier
Joanna Frasier
